https://twitter.com/simonaarias Leadership is both a research area and a practical skill encompassing the capability of a person or organization to "direct" or guide other people, teams, or entire organizations. Specialist literature debates various viewpoints, contrasting Eastern and Western approaches to leadership, and (within the West) US vs. European approaches. US academic environments define leadership as "a practice of social influence in which a person can enlist the help and support of others in the achievement of a common task". Direction seen from a European and non-academic perspective encompasses an opinion of a leader that could be moved not only by communitarian targets but also by the search for personal power. Direction can derive from a combination of factors. Studies of leadership have produced theories involving traits, behavioural discussion, function, behavior, ability, vision and values, charisma, and intelligence, among others. A leadership style is a pioneer's style of offering direction, implementing plans, and motivating people. It is the result of their leader's doctrine, character, and experience. Rhetoric experts have also developed models for understanding direction (Robert Hariman, Political Style, Philippe-Joseph Salazar, L'Hyperpolitique. Technologies politiques De La Domination). Different situations call for different leadership styles. In an emergency when there is little time to converge on an arrangement and where a designated authority has significantly more experience or expertise than the remainder of the team, an autocratic leadership style could be best; however, in a highly motivated and aligned team using a homogeneous level of experience, a more democratic or Laissez-faire style may be more successful. The design adopted should be the one that most effectively achieves the objectives of the group while balancing the interests of its individual members. A discipline where leadership style has gained powerful focus is that of military science, lately expressing a holistic and integrated view of leadership, including the way the leader's physical existence decides how others perceive that leader. The variables of physical existence are military posture, physical fitness, confidence, and resilience. The leader's intellectual capability can help to conceptualize solutions and get knowledge to perform the job. A leader's Profession skills employ agility, judgment, innovation, interpersonal tact, and domain knowledge. Domain awareness for leaders encompasses tactical and technical knowledge as well as cultural and geopolitical awareness. https://twitter.com/simonaarias
